When Dr. Shannon Zingel moved from Calgary, Alberta to Laguna in August 2022, she brought a fresh, holistic approach to wellness with her… and a dash of fun.
She dove right into the California lifestyle, bought a blue convertible Mini Cooper and opened Beyond Better Wellness on Thalia Street last October.
From the get-go, it’s clear she’s not just another health practitioner. With over 5,000 hours of training and a background working with chiropractors, acupuncturists, and other health pros, Dr. Shannon's approach is comprehensive and unique.
For Beyond Better Wellness and Dr. Shannon, it’s all about treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Dr. Shannon offers a wide range of therapies, from joint mobilizations and cranial sacral therapy to lymphatic drainage and myofascial release. Each treatment is tailored to your specific needs, ensuring you get the most effective care possible.
Indeed, the name Beyond Better Wellness came directly from Dr. Shannon's patients. She often heard them say, "I just want to feel better."
But she wanted more for her patients than just "better." She wanted them to regain their vitality and go beyond what they thought possible. And so, Beyond Better Wellness was born, with the tagline, "Where would you go if you were beyond better?"
Running her own practice allows Dr. Shannon to focus entirely on her patients. She sets her own prices, working hours, and treatment plans to ensure the best outcomes. Plus, it gives her the flexibility to maintain a great work-life balance, allowing her to be present for her family and fully focused on her patients during their sessions.
Dr. Shannon loves what she does. "I love the role I get to play in my patients' lives. I am so thankful that I get to help people and have such a positive impact," she says. Her technical skills, combined with a patient-first approach, ensure that every individual receives top-notch care.
