Play Dress Up with Little Bohemian

The whimsically named Laguna Beach children’s clothing boutique, Little Bohemian is the perfect place to find unique and on-trend clothing and accessories for the little bohemian in your life. Located in downtown Laguna at 282 Forest Avenue, it’s easy to spot with a cheerful green awning and floor to match.

Each item of clothing or accessories has been hand-picked with care by the store’s owner and resident buyer, Julie Jacobs. A Laguna Beach native, Jacobs grew up cherishing the beachside lifestyle of Laguna, along with the close-knit ties of its residents. Wanting to nurture these relationships as her childhood friends became parents of their own, she first opened the doors to Little Bohemian six years ago. “It’s really special to see people from high school walk through the door with their own kids,” she says with a smile.

From newborns to big kids, the boutique offers a great selection of on-trend kids clothing. “I always make sure we are carrying lines that are unique to my store, so it’s not just more of the same,” explains the entrepreneur.

Indeed, at Little Bohemian you can expect vibrant and unexpected prints paired with high quality fabrics and thoughtful details, as well as eco-friendly clothing lines featuring organic cotton and bamboo fabrics.

Walking by you’ll immediately get an idea of the store’s cool-kid laid back California vibe. Past looks on the boutique’s Facebook page include an adorable homage to Almost Famous’ Penny Lane (complete with skinny jeans, white fringe leather moccasins, and a knit yellow bonnet) and equally easy and trendy clothes like black and white striped “LOCAL” beanies with pom pom toppers for the boys (literally so cute, you’ll want one of your own).

Mixed within all the clothes is a curated selection of books, quirky stuffed animals, toys, hats, shoes, and anything you might fancy for a photoshoot, birthday, or family outing. And, with Jacobs running the shop, you can rest assured that your shopping experience will be just as fun and personable as the clothes.
