Laguna Through A Local's Eye: Teila Rose
You may know Teila Blanchfield as @TeilaRose on Instagram. The Orange County based blogger grew up vacationing in Laguna Beach and always knew it was the place she would end up. Now a bonafide local, she has made a career out of modeling, acting, and photography and regularly shares her days for her 34.8k followers on social media.
With sandy blonde hair, a big smile, and a kindness and compassion you can feel with each scroll, Teila is the girl next door you can’t help but feel a connection to. From what she wears to where she eats to how her auditions go, she is an open book -- and one that symbolizes Southern California cool.
When she’s not driving back and forth to castings in LA you’ll find her surfing or people watching at local coffee shops. She loves being outdoors and is always in search of her next delicious meal. Being gluten-free and plant-based, most of her recommendations cater to a healthy lifestyle.
We recently caught up with Teila to ask her to share her favorite spots around town...
Zinc
A local favorite, Zinc offers outdoor seating, good food, and friendly service. On the weekends this spot is packed with overflow from the Farmers Market, so plan to get there either early or after the crowd! All you really need is a good book and an oat milk matcha latte and an entire day can slip away!
Laguna Beach Farmers Market
Every Saturday, I stop by Laguna Beach Farmers Market. Supporting local farmers and scoring deals on fresh flowers and produce is a win-win in my book. Plus, you get to know the vendors that you see week after week!
Active Culture
Active Culture has become my go-to spot after a long beach day. My favorite thing to order is the Wholesome Bowl with no cheese, extra sauce. They also have amazing smoothies and their vegan fro-yo is to die for!
Carmelitas
Who doesn’t love a good spicy margarita? With live music and great food, Carmelitas is thee spot for a night out on the town. (Make sure you try the veggie fajitas!)
Laguna Beach Cliff Hike
Looking for an amazing view of the city? This hike is short and only takes about 45 minutes from start to finish. When the beaches are packed, this is my go-to for a killer view and great workout.
